NVHD State Contests

Nevada holds two state contests: one in Reno and one in Las Vegas. The first place winner in each category in both Reno and Las Vegas are invited to attend the national contest in June.

2013 State Contest Dates & Deadlines 

Northern Nevada State Contest
March 30, 2013
Registration due March 8, 2013

All teachers and students must register online, please use the information above to register. 
Southern Nevada State Contest
April 6, 2013
Registration due March 15, 2013

Location:
Northwest Career & Technical Academy
8200 W. Tropical Pkwy
Las Vegas, NV 89149

All teachers and students must register online, please use the information above to register.

The state contest is $20 per student.

Entry Submission

Website entries -  No paper copies should be submitted.  All information (process paper & annotated bibliography) should be integrated into the web site. URL's will be included in student registration.
Paper entries -  No paper copies should be submitted.  Paper and annotated bibliography should be submitted electronically. Information will be sent to teachers and students to send in documents.
Documentary entries - The Documentary should be uploaded online and a url should be identified when the entry is submitted.  The process paper and the annotated bibliography should be submitted electronically. Information will be sent to teachers and students to upload documentaries
Other Entries: Bring process papers for exhibits and performances to contest. Do not submit with entry forms.
